Awards Banquet Closes Out 2008 Season

The annual awards banquet crowned the 2008 race champions in six divisions. In addition to presenting the 2008 final points and accompanying awards, it was an evening to thank the supporters of the speedway. All of the race teams, loyal fans, employees and sponsors. Especially, Hoosier, Beway Race Products, Auburndale Oil Co, Five-Star Race Car Bodies, Miller-Hellman Distributors, Pepsi Cola Products, Seubert Inc, Nasonville Dairy, Sternweis & Sons Concrete, Jay VanDerGeest, Scott’s Bumper to Bumper Parts City, Earth Inc, WCAR and Budweiser S&S Distributing.

In the super late model division Tim Hintz topped the points at the end of the season taking the championship. Travis Stebane was named the 2008 super late model rookie of the year.

Brian Weinfurter claimed the 2008 super stock championship. Super stock rookie of the year was Greg Matthews.

Jeremiah Strauss earned his second 4-cylinder championship.

The 2008 junkyard warrior champion was Kyle Rasmussen.

Ryan Mork took the 2008 pure stock title.

The motorcycle championship was taken by Steve Kasten.

Marshfield Super Speedway is located 3.5 miles west of Marshfield on County Road H with weekly Saturday night stock car racing April through September.
