Fall Shootout News/Notes
Fairchild, WI; September 3, 2010 – As Marshfield Motor Speedway prepares for its Annual Fall Shootout, it looks to be a very exciting weekend of racing with pre-entrys arriving daily.
Limited Late Model drivers will be allowed to race under their home track rules. Bring your home track rule book, and you will be allowed to race! Tires for the Limited Late Models will be either the Hoosier or Goodyear treaded tires, and the Hoosier F-75. You may run either all new tires, used tires, or mix/match. Friday’s practice will begin at 3:00 PM with pit concessions available. Also, tires and fuel will be available at the track.
All other divisions may also bring their home track rule book, follow the rule book’s guideline, and compete. Super Late Models must follow Marshfield Motor Speedway’s rules which are available online.
Just a reminder, Super Stocks and 4-Cylinders have been moved to Sunday with the Click Club USA “Race For Hunger” Legends and Bandits being moved to Saturday. This was due to a scheduling conflict.
The Super Late Model Show looks to provide much excitement with their Twin 50-Lap features. Marshfield Motor Speedway promoter Wayne Brevik stated that he is prepared to start 32 cars in both events with the possibility of provisionals added.
Lodging for the Fall Shootout is plentiful with numerous Hotels/Motels available in Marshfield which is 3 minutes from the track. Rough camping is free at the race track on a first come, first served basis.
This Saturday, September 4th, Marshfield Motor Speedway will be having its season championship night at the races. Several point races are coming down to the wire, both championship and rookie of the year awards. Merrill’s Jason Weinkauf has locked up the Jay VanDerGeest Cattle Dash 4 Cash Award for the Super Late Models. Marshfield’s Mark Langreck has locked up the same award in the D & D Amusement Games Super Stock Division. Pit gate opens at 2:30 pm with qualifying at 5:00 and racing at 6:30 pm.
