HINNER LOOKING TO MAKE NAME FOR HIMSELF IN ARCA MIDWEST TOUR RACE AT MARSHFIELD!
DECKER, LAPOINTE, & KRALOVETZ UP FOR THE CHALLENGE AGAINST ARCA MIDWEST TOUR REGULARS IN MARSHFIELD 100 PRESENTED BY EARTH, INC.!
Fairchild, WI, June 26, 2012 – Just a few years ago, UW-Stevens Point student Ryan Hinner was the guy to beat when it came to a very competitive CWSSA division of racing. It certainly didn’t matter what track the Stevens Point, WI driver competed on, he was hard to beat. At Marshfield Motor Speedway, in what would be Hinner’s last season racing in the Super Stock division, he won so many races that a bounty was placed on him. The only races he didn’t win was a race he left the track early because of rain, and the program continued, and the last race of the year when he came from the back of the pack late, and nearly pulled off the win.
Today, Ryan Hinner is working on his Masters Degree in Finance through UW-Whitewater. Not that being a student is busy enough, Hinner pilots the #23 light blue Super Late Model at State Park Speedway and Marshfield Motor Speedway. Hinner is looking to compete this Saturday in the ARCA Midwest Tour Marshfield 100, against some of the best drivers in the United States! When asked what it would mean to him if he pulled off the upset and drove to victory lane Saturday, Hinner replied, “it would mean everything, it’s such a huge show against the best drivers in the Midwest.” Hinner further stated, “that’s why I love that the tour is coming to MMS as it gives us a chance to compete with the best drivers on our home turf.” “While winning the race will be extremely tough to do, Jason Weinkauf proved a few years ago that a local guy can win the big one.” Hinner further mentioned to Promoter/GM Wayne Brevik that Marshfield is a great three groove that is really fun to race on. The track allows faster cars to move up through the field and it really puts the racing in the driver’s hands!
Another driver proving her worth is Eagle River, Wisconsin driver Paige Decker. Decker has been extremely fast this year and could win at multiple facilities. Paige Decker has certainly been one of the most improved drivers in the Midwest, to say the least. She has notched multiple top 5 wins throughout the state, thus far, in 2013! Last week, Decker got off the top side of the track at Golden Sands Speedway and ended up with a significant amount of damage on her #03 Super Late Model. With the help of crew members Toby Nuttleman and Mark Kraus working through the night, Decker was able to compete the next day at Jefferson in the Tundra Series. Decker appear to be getting better as the race progressed, unfortunately for Decker, the race was shortened because of rain. On Saturday, you can look for Decker to be very competitive and could notch a top ten finish!
Marshfield’s Dean LaPointe, most likely, has more laps around the 1/2 mile paved oval of Marshfield Motor Speedway, than any other driver that will be competing on Saturday. LaPointe, who nearly won the track championship several years back, has notched numerous wins at Marshfield. LaPointe has had much success when it comes to “big” races at MMS. He has had top finishes in both the MARS Series and the Wisconsin Challenge Series at Marshfield. If everything clicks and falls in place for LaPointe on Saturday, look for him to have another competitive finish! LaPointe is looking for a very clean-competitive race come Saturday evening.
Another driver that proved to be very fast wherever he races is none other than Dillon Kralovetz. Kralovetz, is in a new Lefthander chassis this year and has notched top finishes at several tracks. Kralovetz, who has been a Norway, (MI) Speedway regular, has competed at State Park Speedway and Kaukauna in recent years with much success. It’s been several years since Dillon Kralovetz has visited Marshfield, but feels up to the challenge to compete against the Midwest’s best on the half-mile paved oval of Marshfield Motor Speedway.
