Marshfield, WI – Septemeber 28th, 2012- With the warm weather came many participants in the first night of the DuWayne Davis Memorial Fall Shootout!
Skylar Holzhausen paced the 24-car field with fast time with a lap time of 17.893 seconds! Super Late Model heat winners tonight were Chad Selk, Jamie Iverson, and Kris Kelly. In tomorrow’s first 50-lap feature event, Dalton Zehr and Tommy Pecaro will lead the pack to the green flag. With 27 cars expected to take the green flag in the first Yellow River Racing Series 50-lap feature event, plenty of fireworks should keep the fans on the edge of their seats!
Cory Kemkes relishes the track at Marshfield as he notched another feature win in his belt. Earlier in the evening, Kemkes had the ride of his life as he nearly flipped his car off the backstretch hill while competing in his respective heat. The Kemkes crew worked feverishly on his car, and allowed Kemkes to keep his feature win streak in tact at MMS! Fast timer Jim Duchow made a great attempt in running down Kemkes, but it was too little too late for Duchow. Kris Oliver, Todd Verhagen, and Jack Carpenter rounded out the top five. Kris Oliver and Jake Zelinski captured heat wins tonight in the Limited Late Models!
Bandits competed in their first feature with the other taking place tomorrow, day 2 of the DuWayne Davis Memorial Fall Shootout. Pocketing a clean sweep tonight was Dale Robinson. Finishing a strong second was Phil Malouf!
