MARSHFIELD ADDS RACE, MOVES SLAM FEST! BURNOUT CONTEST THIS SATURDAY!
Marshfield, WI, July 31, 2012 – With all the rainouts during the 2012 race season, Marshfield Motor Speedway has added a race date on September 8th and moved the Slam Fest to September 22nd! Super Late Models, Super Stocks, CWMSA 4-Cylinders, Pure Stocks, and Bandits have been added to the September 8th date.
With other local track’s schedules completed by September 8th, track management decided to add the extra date at that time instead of August 25th. With State Park Speedway and Golden Sands Speedway both racing on August 23/24, it would be hard for fans to afford attending racing events three times in one week! Hence, the September 8th date was added versus the August 25th date.
With this, and out of respect for Golden Sands Speedway fans/participants, our Slam Fest has been moved to September 22nd. This will avoid back-to-back Slam Fest/Wreck Fest days at MMS and GSS!
Also, please note that the ASAMT Trucks will be added to the August 18th schedule. Steve Einhaus, VP of the ASAMT stated, “the truck series drivers have been looking to get back to Marshfield a second time in 2012.” Einhaus further noted, “our drivers really enjoy the racing and atmosphere at Marshfield.”
This Saturday, August 4th, Super Late Models, Super Stocks, 4-Cylinders, Bandits, Cruisers, and Motorcycles will be competing on the 1/2 mile paved oval of Marshfield Motor Speedway. Six great divisions of racing should prove to be an exciting night of racing action. Pit gates open at 3pm, fan gates open at 4:30, qualifying is at 5pm, with the exciting racing action beginning at 6:30 pm. Also, don’t miss the exciting burnout contest at intermission! Admission is just $10 for adults 15 and older, students 9 to 14 is $6, and children 8 and under are alway free at Marshfield Motor Speedway.
