Marshfield Motor Speedway Set for “Big” Night
KIDS NIGHT SCHEDULE FOR THIS SATURDAY!
Marshfield, WI, (July 11, 2013) – Fans will be treated to a little “overtime” racing this Saturday night at Marshfield Motor Speedway. The Yellow River Racing Series, Super Late Model 75-lap feature slated for a few weeks back, was rained out and will be apart of this Saturday’s show! Also, the Bandit division will be making up their rained out feature event. Super Stock drivers received points for their qualifying and heats from a few weeks ago, but will run a complete show come Saturday evening.
The Yellow River Racing Series will start up to 22 drivers, with 18 drivers already qualified in with Skylar Holzhausen pocketing fast time honors. Tim Hintz, a Nekoosa driver arrived at the track, but was unable to qualify. Hintz will start in the 19th position. This will leave three positions open for the 75-lap feature event. These drivers will start 20th, 21st, and 22nd, as they did not qualify. Track promoter Wayne Brevik also stated that these drivers will have to put a short practice session on their tires, as qualified in cars already put 3-5 laps on their tires.
Once drivers qualify for the “Regular” night program, speedway officials will be shifting gears as the program will begin with the make up feature for the Bandits. Once that feature race is complete, super late model drivers will be lining up for the 75-lap Yellow River Racing Series feature event. Once this feature is complete and post race ceremonies are complete, then the schedule will move forward with a complete racing program, according to Brevik.
With all the exciting racing slated for the night, Brevik stated, “fans will certainly get their monies worth with all the racing action penciled in for Saturday.” Brevik also mentioned that fans that still have their rain check ticket from a few weeks ago, will basically get to see two shows for the price of one!
Divisions competing Saturday evening will be the Super Late Models, CWSSA Super Stocks, X-Treme 4′s, and Bandits! Qualifying will begin at 5pm, with racing beginning at 6:40 pm!
Not only will the fans be treated to great racing, it is also Kid’s Night! There will be numerous kids giveaways at intermission. Kids will be given prices that range from games to bikes! The Women Concerned For Auto Racing also have an exciting night planned for the kids in attendance!
