Fairchild, WI – April 20, 2012 – Race fans may come out to Marshfield Motor Speedway this Saturday, April 21st to witness the first roar of engines around the famed half-mile oval of Central Wisconsin.

Drivers of all divisions will be participating in the first practice session of the year as they prepare their race cars for the first racing event of the year next Saturday, April 28th, with the running of the first leg of the Yellow River Racing Series Special 60-lap Super Late Model feature event.

Media Day and the practice session will coincide with each other starting at 10am and concluding at 2pm.  After interviews from local media and practice, the Speedway Bar will be hosting a Pool and Dart tourney.  Any driver or crew member participating will be partnered with a race fan, and compete against others in a double elimination tournament!

Drivers and crew members entering the pits will be charged a minimal fee of $5 per person for the practice session.  Fans coming to watch will be admitted free!

Come on out this Saturday to Marshfield Motor Speedway and reunite yourselves with your favorite drivers and enjoy the day’s festivities!

Saturday, April 28th, the Yellow River Racing Season will kick off the 2012 race season!  Pit gates open at 2pm, with qualifying beginning at 5pm and racing beginning at 6:30 pm.  Fan gates will open at 4pm!  Admission is just $12 for adults 16 and older,  students 9 to 15 years of age are $8, and children 8 and under are always FREE!
