Rich Bickle, Jr., Travis Dassow, Frank Nitzke Enter Thursday’s “White Knight 99+1″ Earth Inc. Yellow River Racing Series Feature Event, Presented by Seubert Calf Ranches

MARSHFIELD, WI, (JULY 22, 3013) – In what should be one of the most exciting night’s in the history of Marshfield Motor Speedway, fans will be on the edge of their seats when they see 43 Super Late Models roar around the half mile track of Marshfield!

Former NASCAR driver Rich Bickle, Jr. has entered this Thursday’s Earth Inc. Yellow River Racing Series event, The “White Knight” 99 + 1  feature event presented by Seubert Calf Ranches!  Bickle, Jr. has earned over 400 feature wins including five Snowball Derby feature wins.  Bickle is especially excited to get back to Marshfield Motor Speedway as he recently finished third in the ARCA Midwest Tour Marshfield 100, and arguably may have had the fastest car on the track.  Bickle, Jr. also notched a win at Slinger in the Trickle Memorial race!  Frank Nitzke, the 2012 Golden Sands Speedway Track Champion, is one of the most recent entries into the “White Knight” 99 + 1 special event, in memory and honor of racing legend Dick Trickle.  Nitzke, a Berlin, WI resident, pocketed a feature win at Marshfield last fall.  Along with Golden Sands star driver Frank Nitzke, other Golden Sands Speedway drivers competing this Thursday will be Shane & Cody Smiley.  When calling track promoter Wayne Brevik indicating their entry into Thursday’s show, both Smiley brothers stated they were extremely thrilled to be apart such an event that is in memory of Dick Trickle!

Tanner Bohlen, a regular driver at Kaukauna’s Wisconsin International Raceway, will also be joining the field of 43 cars! Bohlen was the 2010 WIR Limited Late Model Champion!   Along with Bohlen, long time driver, and Wisconsin Rapids, WI driver Kirby Kurth will be competing for the win Thursday.  Kurth, who has notched numerous feature wins throughout his successful career, stated, “I have learned a lot from Dick and I am very glad I have the opportunity to race in Dick’s memory, come Thursday at Marshfield.”

All Military, past and present will be admitted free with Military Identification Card!  The Wisconsin National Guard will be on hand throughout the night and will have their climbing wall set up for guests to climb.  Also, they will have their cannon shooting off loads, and will have their Color Guard on hand for opening ceremonies!

Not only will this be the “White Knight 99+1″, it is also the second leg of the Earth Inc. Yellow River Racing Series.  Steve Holzhausen holds a small lead over Eugene Gregorich, Jr., after the first of three legs of the Earth Inc. Yellow River Racing Series.

Pit gates will open at 1pm, fan gates open at 4pm, qualifying is at 5pm, with racing beginning at 7pm!  Admission is just $4.99 for adults 15 and older, students 9-14 is just $2.99, children 8 and under are free!

If fans are looking to reserve a spot along the fence in our Upper Reserve Parking area, they may do so by calling Wayne at 715-533-0796.  Or, you may obtain a spot at gate admission!  Also, there are a few Skyboxes still available to rent for Thursday’s big event. Camping is available for our fans and is always free.  A supervised playground for the children is also on the premises.  The Speedway bar is open to all race fans and has air conditioning and live closed circuit TV’s of the evening’s racing events!
