Marshfield, WI, June 4, 2011 – It was another great night of racing action at Marshfield Motor Speedway. There was much door-to-door racing action that thrilled the Marshfield faithful!

In Napa of Marshfield Super Late Model action, Neil Knoblock set the pace with his first fast time award of the year. Knoblock also came from the rear of the field and took home top honors in his heat race.  Redline Speedsports driver Ben Pettis took home the Dash 4 Cash honors this evening.  Marshfield ace Dean LaPointe outlasted Chris Grimes and pocketed a heat win in the Jack’s Bar, #15 Chevrolet.  Chris Grimes let the field to the line in the super late model feature event. Grimes held that position for the first ten laps until Cardell Potter decided it was his turn to take over the helm.  Potter, who also race snowmobiles in the wintertime, enjoyed a comfortable lead over second place Chris Grimes.  On lap 19, Neil Knoblock decided it was his turn to take over the runner up position putting his familiar #70 machine in front of Grimes.  Knoblock now had his sights set on a very fast Potter machine.  Cardell Potter had a sizable lead over Knoblock and held on for his first feature win at Marshfield Motor Speedway.  With Knoblock finishing second, Nekoosa’s Randall Wilhorn had a very good run and finished third.  Rounding out the top five were Chris Grimes and Ben Pettis.

Ryan Hinner had a career night here tonight at Marshfield Motor Speedway.  Hinner captured his first clean sweep by gaining fast time honors, and crossing the finish line first in his heat and feature races.  Hinner, in a new car this year, has been fast where ever he races.  The UW-Stevens Point student has had a very impressive season thus far this year.  Another driver making his first appearance of the year at MMS was Travis Volm.  Volm gave Hinner all he could handle in tonight’s feature race, racing a Wayne Mackesy prepared hot rod.  Volm captured second place with Joe Nowak taking third.  Last week’s feature winner Bryan Langreck will hold the point lead with his fourth place finish.  Fall Creek’s John Kasbowski came home in fifth.

What a great night of racing in the 4-Cylinder Division.  Arguably, one of the most exciting classes of racing at MMS, the 4-Cylinders put on another great show for the fans in attendance.  Tripping the clock in qualifying fastest, Boyd, Wisconsin driver Don Dunow captured his first career fast time award!  Neillsville, WI driver Ron Sischo put his #63 hot rod in victory lane in heat action.  Point leader Derk Hauser of Gilman, WI put his car in victory lane in heat #2.  Ron Sischo led the field of cars to the green flag in the 20-lap feature event.  Sischo held the lead until lap five that was when Rick Brandl took over the top spot.  Brandl’s lead was short lived however; Gilman’s Steve Hauser made the outside pass of Sischo to take the top spot.  Don Dunow and Dennis Goetsch made it tough for Hauser.  The two talented drivers were inside, outside, and on the rear bumper of Hauser throughout the entire feature.  Credit goes to Steve Hauser though, as he was able to fend off all challenges of Dunow and Goetsch and put his racecar in victory lane.  With Dunow and Goetsch placing second and third respectively, Mike Dixon and Rick Brandl rounded out the top five.

In his first appearance at the race track tonight, Adam Eckes pocketed fast time honors in the Bandit Division.  Point leader Harry Bell took home the checkered flag in the Bandit heat.  In feature action, Adam Eckes set the pace for the first six laps with Harry Bell hot on his bumper.  Bell took over the top spot with a pass of Eckes on lap seven.  Bell was able to hold of a hard charge by Eckes in the race’s final lap to take home another feature win.  With Eckes holding down second place, Chili, WI driver Dan Nickel and Auburndale, WI driver Tim Anderson finished third and fourth respectively.
