Marshfield Super Speedway Banquet Concludes the 2003 Season!

October 24, 2003; Marshfield, WI: - The eighth annual drivers banquet concluded the 2003 racing season for Marshfield Super Speedway. The banquet was held at the Eagles Club in Marshfield. The top drivers in each division were honored. Following the meal was the awards presentation and music by The Twilight DJ Service.

We would also like to thank our drivers, crews, their families and loyal fans whom without their continued support of the sport of racing would not be possible.

Judd Brandl added a second Super Late Model championship to his titles. Brandl won the championship back in 2000 and with that earned Rookie of the Year for 2000. Brandl won this year’s title after a close battle with Doug Drost who led the points for most of the season with only 19 points determining Brandl’s championship.

The 2003 Super Late Model Rookie of the Year was awarded to DuWayne Davis. Davis started racing on the asphalt here in the Cruiser division, then moved up to the Super Stocks earning Rookie of the Year in 2001 and continued to the Super Lates this year finishing fifth in the overall points.

The Super Stock top title went to Tim Plowman. Plowman and his team earning this title after many years of racing Super Stocks around Central Wisconsin and a close battle with Larry Schultz for the championship. Schultz finished second.

Kyle Davis won the 2003 Super Stock Rookie of the Year award. Davis moved up from the Cruiser division to the 4-Cylinders and then drove his father’s Super Stock from the previous year to earn the award and ended up fourth in overall Super Stock points.

The Legends raced five points events this year. Eric Lokemoen beat Elliott Weiler for the win by a mere three points.

The 4-Cylinder division champion was Keith Wirtz for the second time in row. Wirtz won with 39 points over Torey Nitzsche in second place.

The champion of the 1Man Cruiser division was Travis Zvolena. Zvolena had finished in close second the previous year and plans to move up to the Super Stock division in 2004.

Congratulations to all the drivers that raced at Marshfield Super Speedway in 2003.

The 2004 Season will open on April 17, 2004 with weekly Saturday night racing.
